We're looking for a developer who wants to architect and build AI features end-to-end – not just plug an LLM into an existing system and call it a day. You'll work close to the problem, own what you build, and have real say in how we do AI at Playground.

At Playground Dev we work on everything from mapping massive codebases to building agent flows that turn weeks of work into hours. AI runs through most of what we build - it's part of the toolbox, not a pitch deck.

What you'll do

You'll be a key part of our teams and group deliveries we do for our clients. We build modern systems, work close to production and bring AI into the picture wherever it actually adds value - agent flows, LLM integrations, internal tooling and the surrounding engineering that holds it all together.

The role spans real engineering and technical direction. Some days are deep in the code, some are about turning a messy, unclear problem into something you can actually start building.

We're also building the next generation of AI-enabled services, tools and automated agents for real-world use cases, and you'll be part of shaping how that gets done.

You're a solid engineer with a few years under your belt, strong in Node.js and TypeScript and comfortable across the stack. You care about clean, maintainable code and you've spent enough time in production to know what's going to bite you six months down the line. React on the frontend is part of the picture, and you've worked around cloud environments like AWS, Azure or Kubernetes.

Ideally you've already built or evaluated AI/LLM applications hands-on - but if you haven't and you genuinely want to, that counts for a lot too. We care more about how you think about applied AI than which framework you've used. Not just "what model do I call" but how the whole thing fits together.

You're autonomous and take pride in the systems you design. You can drive things forward without someone holding your hand, but you're also low ego and a real team player - we have no room for lone wolves who hoard knowledge.

Bonus if you've tinkered with agents, LangChain, Strands Agents, MCP or built something weird and AI-shaped on your own time.

Language requirement

You need to be comfortable to use Swedish in a work environment and the same goes for English.

Why? Because most of our collaborations and client projects are conducted in Swedish. We do also have clients who require Swedish citizenship as well as fluency in the Swedish language.
